The reinforced toe cap covers the toes from rubbing against the ground and the adjustable fastening lets the fit be corrected in mid-afternoon, when the foot no longer measures what it did in the morning. Inside, the On Steam textile of the lining is breathable and lets the vapour escape with the shoe on, and the Always Dry treatment holds that inside dry through the classroom day; taking out the insole, which is removable, ventilates it and measures the room the foot has left.
