The leather upper wraps the foot with no seams to rub and the sole of the foot sits level from heel to toe: these are Biomecanics barefoot sneakers, and the ICOPCV awards them the Podologic seal.

FOAMtech is a light material that adds no rigidity, with no internal heel counter, and the adjustable fastening sets the fit without squeezing the instep. The flexible sole bends at the toes and its non-slip tread gives the grip for braking and turning; the On Steam textile lining and insole are breathable and draw the vapour out with the foot inside, and that insole is removable, to air it and to see how much room is left at the front. And at the front, the reinforcement of the toe cap stands up to dragging along the ground when they still go about on all fours.
