The sock-style upper wraps the foot without pressing on it, in a lightweight textile that lets the ground be felt almost as if barefoot: these are barefoot sneakers for first steps.

With zero drop, the foot rests flat from heel to toe, and the sole, flexible, gives way just under the toes; its non-slip tread provides friction against slipping and the FOAMtech on the outside of the heel holds it in place, without the rigid heel counter inside. The On Steam textile lining and insole are breathable and go on drawing the vapour out with the foot inside, and the insole is removable, to air it and to check the room left at the front; the protective toe cap covers the toes and the adjustable fastening sets them to size. The whole shoe carries the Podologic seal from the Official College of Podiatrists.
