Biomecanics school sneakers with the upper in hard-wearing leather and an elastic lace fastening: the laces stretch to let the foot in and then recover their tension over the instep.

The lightweight, flexible sole bends at the front, where the foot flexes, and its non-slip tread grips on the playground floor; the reinforced toe cap stands up to the rubbing of sudden stops. Taking out the insole, which is removable, airs the shoe and shows the room the foot has left at the front. That insole and the lining are in On Steam textile, breathable, which lets the vapour out without taking the shoe off, and over it the Always Dry treatment absorbs the moisture and shortens the drying.
